ANTIQUE SMALL STEEL SAVINGS COIN BANK ADVERTISING FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF ST. CHARLES, MO. ESTABLISHED 1863
This is an antique small all-steel constructed oval shaped savings coin bank advertising for a bank out of Missouri. This bank advertises on a tag on the front for "First National Bank St. Charles, MO. Established 1863". The top of the bank has a handle. The front has a slot for coins and there is a hole in the bottom to put paper currency in it. The bottom is locked and we don't have the key for opening it. The banks used to hold these. Bank is in pretty good condition overall for its age with some natural wear present. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures 2 and 1/4" tall by 3 and 3/4" wide by almost 2" thick. Wonderful old steel savings bank from Missouri would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
