Sansevieria- Snake Plant- Mother-in-Law’s Tongue.
Please note: The plant is a rooted cutting from the mother plant. You will be receiving a plant similar to that in pictures. The plant will be posted Second Class Royal Mail with a bit of soil wrapped around the roots (it doesn’t come in a pot).
Sansevieria is native to the tropical West African region. It is easy to care for, hence a great choice for beginners to plant care. The plant literally seems to thrive on neglect, responding best to the lightest of watering and then just being left alone.
It has unique foliage patterns of bands of light and dark green with yellow banding along the leaf edge.
Light: The Snake Plant does best in moderate to bright, indirect light environments, but can also adapt to low light conditions if preferred.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. Water sparingly, but thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.
Humidity: The Snake Plant will do fine in normal household humidity. If brown tips develop, consider occasional misting.
Air Purifying: Sansevieria filter airborne toxins such as benzene and formaldehyde.
