This two flute bit has a cutting diameter of 8mm, a cutting length of 30mm, shank diameter of 8mm and overall length of 70mm.

It is the metric equivalent of a 5/16” (7.94mm) imperial bit.

Made from extremely durable solid carbide this bit is designed to provide extra clean and smooth cuts. Suitable for use in both hand held and table mounted routers, spiral compression bits cause wood shavings to spin into the centre of the cut leaving an extremely smooth finish on both the top and bottom face of the stock. These bits are ideal for pattern making and edge jointing and can be used with soft & hard woods, ply-woods, composites, laminates, plastics and some non-ferrous metals.

This bit is manufactured using HRC45 micro grain carbide (0.5um grain size) with a hardness of 92.5±0.5 HRA by a specialised manufacturer of solid carbide tools, they don’t make anything else!   This is a quality product, buy with confidence.

 Also available with this bit is a ½” to 8mm collet adaptor. Once you have the collet you can use any 8mm shanked bit in your router.
