ANTIQUE SUITCASE SHAPED ALL BRASS BANK ADVERTISING THE DENISON BANK & TRUST COMPANY OF DENISON, TX.



This is an antique nickel plated all brass constructed suitcase shaped savings bank from the early 1900's probably. This bank has a tag on the front that advertises for the "The Denison Bank & Trust Co., Denison, Texas.". The front of the bank also has the number "509" imprinted in it. The name of the manufacturer, the W.F. Burns Co. out of Chicago and New York is imprinted on the top of the bank. Bank has a handle on the top and slot on the side for coins and a hole to put paper currency in. We don't have the key for opening the bank though. The banks used to hold these. Bank is in pretty good condition overall for its age with some natural wear present. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures about 3" tall by 4" wide by 1 and 3/4" thick. Wonderful old brass savings bank from Texas would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
