LEBANON COUNY COURT HOUSE

Constructed in 1816 / 1817, completed in 1818.  It was built on the Northwest corner of 8th & Cumberland Streets.   A two story brick structure with columns at the front entrance and a clock tower at the top.  The statue at the top of the building of blind Justice holding her scales is now located in the lobby of the current Municipal Building at 8th & Oaks Streets.  In 1854 it was remodeled and enlarged.  The court house served it's purpose for 144 years, before it was demolished in 1962.
