Presenting a wonderful vintage Murano art glass Clam Shell bowl in Ruby Red by well known artist Archimede Seguso.
This bowl features a beautiful shell shaped body that resembles its real life counterpart amazingly. The body has been masterfully worked and flows effortlessly and proportionately to the wide set opening.
The colouring is a deep rich Ruby Red.
The glass holds a most amazing quality and nothing less would be expected of top quality Italian glass which has been masterfully made.
This piece is attributable to Seguso and also features two beautifully ground and polished pontils to allow one to sit the bowl upright or on its side.
This bowl measures 14cm at its longest, 9cm at its widest and stands 9.5cm at its tallest.
Presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The polished base exhibits usual age related wear marks which only aid in authenticating this vintage piece.
It displays beautifully!!!
