When unit powers on, a brief noise is produced, much like the sound you would hear when you are forwarding or reversing a tape. When a tape is in either deck, any button you press produces the same noise with no movement in conjunction with the selected function. 

Unit does power on but does not work!

We do not repair electronics, nor have we attempted any repairs. We list items in a for REPAIR/PARTS/AS-IS condition in the hopes that someone that can repair these items, or salvage parts from them that they might find useful. In either case, units sold in an AS-IS/FOR PARTS/FOR REPAIR condition, are not returnable.

No manual, or original packaging is included.
