Vintage Early American Pressed Glass "PANELED THISTLE"  Sawtooth Edge Stemmed Compote 7"   


Paneled Thistle is sometimes referred to as Delta. This pattern was originally manufactured from the late 1880's to 1906.


This pressed glass compote from the glassware pattern today's collectors like to call Paneled Thistle. 
Known to have been manufactured by two glass firms, JB Higbee of Pittsburgh and Jefferson Glass of Toronto, Ontario. 
The original manufacturer's name for the line was Delta and it's sometimes known today as Canadian Thistle. The pattern is now retired.

This compote measures about 7" tall and 8" wide at rim and 4" at the base of the stem.

On the inside bottom of the compote is a bee which is part of the design - see picture 2. 

Condition is used very good vintage.  No chips or cracks. Natural air bubbles present
