EMU SP 1200 Sampler Drum Machine Reissue
For sale is a rare vintage Emu SP-1200 Sampling Drum Machine. It's in great shape for its age, tested and fully functional. No funky smells or worth rusty parts here, looks and plays great.  This one has some nice mods including:
- upgraded screen with screen contrast knob. Bright and easy to read, and having the contrast knob makes it easy to adjust the screen for different environments. No more squinting to see the text with burnt out backlights or old screens with dead pixels.
- SD card drive reader. No more needing to deal with floppy disks.
- Jazzcat OB01 Boosted Outputs Modification. All your outputs now have higher signal level more similar to modern setups, so you don't need to boost your signal after the drum machine. This does not introduce any added noise to the signal path or change the tone or sound of the machine.
- Jazzcat SPM04 Sample Monitoring Input Modification. Now your samples are no longer distorted during sampling mode so it's easy to monitor exactly what you are sampling.

This reissue has the classic 7030 filter chips. Judging from serial number it is a 1994 reissue. Reissue SP1200s are preferred over the OG gray ones because they do no have hot or failing power supplies like the original and they also can work on worldwide power automatically without having to do any setting changes. Also being made many years after the OG units they will have less age, wear and tear on them than the originals.
