As an homage to the Chinese Year of the Rooster, Riedel is producing this LIMITED EDITION Ayam Magnum Decanter, a variant of the acclaimed 2016 Ayam decanter. An impressive marriage of form and function, the elegant and imposing rooster-inspired design is as innovative as it is functional. Its double decanting function allows young wines to open up and to show their full potential, creating a similar effect to aging the wine. Ayam decanters have a dual decanting function, meaning wine is aerated as it is poured into and from the decanter.

For master glassblower Martin Hofmeister, it demands the highest level of craftsmanship to optically blow a decanter of this size and such functional complexity. The spiral-shaped grooves are impressed in the glass in its liquid state using a special technique, which only a few glass blowers master today.
