"David Harcombe is well-known for his Working Terriers Year Book series which he started in 1978. Volume 7 is soon to be made available and its popularity continues to increase. In 1985, he produced Badger Digging with Terriers, in an attempt to counteract misleading and exaggerated media coverage and was prosecuted for this after a complaint from a naturalist. His right of free speech was upheld and the charges were all dismissed, but in spite of this, questions were asked in Parliament. Born in the Rhondda, a stronghold of the working terrier, he now lives in West Wales and contributes articles to various magazines in addition to his other activities.
