TAMIYA #24240 1/24 SUBARU Impreza WRC 2001  

About car: 

Subaru Impreza has been released since 1992.  This car is positioned the middle size global strategic C segment car as the lower model as follows Legacy.  Following 1st generation "GC/GF ", this 2nd generation "GD/GG" start to sale from 2000.  This 2nd Impreza equipped with 1.5 / 2.0 L NA / 2.0 L turbo and flat 4 boxer engine.  The body is 4 door sedan, 5 door sports wagon, and the special limited model "WRX". GD/GG, there are 3 types of face / light (called "round eye", "Watery eye", and "Eagle eye").

Impreza is motor sport oriented car in particular rally and has won in World Rally Championship (WRC) manufacturing champion three times (1995, 1996, 1997), and also driver's champion three times (1995, 2001, 2003).

This rally model was 3rd model for WRC.  Impreza WRC based 4 door car (TA-GDA), under WR car regulation (2001 -2008).  R. Burns was the ace driver of Subaru team since 1999 after McRae left.  He got 2nd position at Championship in 1999 & 2000. And he only won 1 race at Rally New Zealand, finally got the the drives championship in 2001.
