This compost bin is made from black recycled plastic. It can be used to create rich nutrient rich soil from garden and fruit and veg kitchen waste, that can be used in planters, side border, veg patch etc. The composter is ideal for smaller sized gardens, such as a new build garden or a backyard of a terrace. A detachable base is included. This makes it a great composter for a garden with hard surfaces, such as a paved patio or timber decking, as the rotting material will not be in contact with the ground. It also makes the composter vermin proof, preventing any rats from accessing the composter. On the one downside, most composters don't have bases, as ideally they are in contact with muddy ground, so earthworms can access the composting material, as they can help breakdown the matter into compost. So, if you do get a composter with a base, its a good idea to drop any worms you come across in the garden, into the composter.

The composter is made from 100% recycled plastic and this comes from both consumer waste and industrial waste.  For consumer waste, these are plastics which are collected at the kerbside by councils.  The post industrial waste is things like scrap from plastic companies, old gas pipes when replaced by utilities companies, old wheelie bins, car bumpers, etc.).
