FJ Designs The Cat's Meow Village - 1994 West Coast Lighthouse Series ~special "Cut-Out" series~, Point Pinos Light; condition is "new". The Cat's Meow Club mascot, Casper, sits in a front window ... and a special Casper on the bottom of the piece to commemorate the special "cut-out" series.
According to Cat's Meow Collector's Club catalog, about the series in general (and only in part): "The coastline of western America is as treacherous as the east. And when Americans started to move west in the early 1800's, Congress launched a construction program to place lighthouses at strategic locations along the west coast. Today, close to fifty of the sixty operational lighthouses still stand."
About this piece in particular, the catalog states: "First lit on February 1, 1855, the Point Pinos Light has attracted many visitors over the years, including Robert Louis Stevenson. The lighthouse is located on a southerly point of the Monterey Peninsula in Pacific Grove, where sea otters often play in the surf nearby."
Great condition, in original Cat's Meow wax paper bag, never displayed. Smoke-free home and in storage for the last 20+ years. Series was released 1994, this piece has copyright 1994 and "signed" Faline '94 with the extra Casper on the bottom.
