Tyre Technology and Specification
1) Twin Skin Technology - Both the sidewalls and the tread area feature a double reinforced carcass. The only other tyre in the Schwalbe range that features this technology is the extreme downhill Magic Mary Bike Park. (We have sold hundereds of these without a single complaint from a customer - for belting down rough ravines in the alps at 50mph on bikes that weigh 30 kilos) So if it works there, it going to work on your commute isn't it? :-)

2) The compound has been thickened to 5mm deep in the central tread area. This a lot of high quality silica reinforced rubber to fend off most puncture threatening road debris and that is before it hits that Twin Skin we just detailed.
Now neither of the above is exactly a brand new tech but combined on a city/fixie road bike tyre its something new and very heavy duty particularly at this price point. It does work suprisingly well and Schwalbe have tested it and rated it higher than the world famous Marathon. Which just about makes it the bargain of the year.
The only question I have really is Have Schwalbe Gone Mad??? :-) Buy a pair before the put the price up!
