ANTIQUE BOOK SHAPED NORTHERN TRUST & SAVINGS CO. LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA ADVERTISING HEAVY STEEL SAVINGS COIN BANK



This is an antique heavy all-steel constructed book shaped savings bank from the late 1800's-early 1900's. This bank advertises on a tag on the front for "Northern Trust & Savings Co. Lancaster, PA.". Bank has a slot for coins and a hole on the top also for paper currency. The bottom of the bank has the number "2084" imprinted in it. We don't have the key for opening it though. The banks used to hold these. Bank is in good condition overall for its age with some natural wear present and a small bend at the top right corner portion. Someone had scratched the name "Ben" on the front tag as well. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures 4 and 7/8" long by 3 and 3/4" wide by just over 1.5" thick. Weighs over 1 lb.  Wonderful and hard-to-find old steel book-shaped savings coin bank from Pennsylvania would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
