This circa-1969 Sony TC-355 reel-to-reel tape recorder is clean and in good cosmetic condition, but requires a full tune-up. It plays intermittently, sometimes you need to turn the capstan post to get the motor running. The rubber pinch wheel won't engage automatically on play, you actually need to help by pushing upward on it. Playback and record speed seems inconsistent, sometimes too fast then normal, sometimes too slow. All lights and VU meter works, but it obviously needs to be dismantled and completely relubricated, and possibly may need a new motor belt for smooth playback.
