VINTAGE NEW STYLE MOOSE SKIN LEATHER PORTFOLIO IPAD PRO MACBOOK 14" CASE BAG R$2837

My bags are the antidote for the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft, with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men's belts for shoulder straps. This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps.  I also use half centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged lifestyle.
Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age-related wear.

Make sure to check out my whole store.  At the time of this listing, I have 189 items all unique and different. Many with added Mooseskin handles; my "trademark" unique idea. Once you have tried it you will wonder how you functioned before without an inside handle. Also on many of my briefcases, I add a mooseskin handle wrap.  The handle is the point of contact that the owner has with their bag and mooseskin is so pleasing to touch.

My philosophy in writing descriptions is: a picture speaks 1000 words. So please look at the pictures and email me with any questions. That said, here is my description:

A one-of-a-kind Reederang Original Mooseskin Clamp Portfolio designed specifically for the iPad Pro 12.9 and Macbook Pro 14"
Mooseskin? Why?  Well, the answer is very simple, the first time I discovered moose skin (7-8 oz; 0.4 cm thick), I knew I had to make a briefcase out of it because it was the most fantastic leather I had ever touched in my life.

Each Moose is individually hunted in Canada (hunts usually cost around $4000 USD), then the meat is used or gifted by the hunter (you cannot buy Wild Game meat in the USA or Canada). The moose leather I buy is from Canada. I just read an article this week where they have a program in place actually transporting Timberwolves from Minnesota to Canada in hopes to build up the Timberwolf population in order to prevent Moose over-population.

Moose skin leather won't dry out like cowhide does. Do you remember deerskin chamois you dried the windows on your car with when you were a kid?  Moose and deerskin both have the same ability to get wet and not need any reconditioning. The does not mean that you can put it in the Washer however it does mean, it will last a really long time even exposed to some moisture. This bag will truly treasure to be used for generations to come.  Moose skin, like deerskin, does not dry out.  It is the most luxurious leather I have ever touched.

Why I made this bag:  Many of you who have been around the block a few times, can remember the vinyl bags from back in the day that had no handles and a simple unique clamp system. Usually, companies would put their names on them and people could carry papers and a pen around while they did their work. They were also given out for advertising purposes.  I have always like their simple minimalist style.  I got to thinking one day after a moose skin customer asked for a simple style bag how would I support the top part of the bag?  I wanted something to give it some support at the top.

I remembered that my Dad used to carry one of those clamp document bags, to the church choir, and Bible study. I began to hunt for some hardware that would do the same for my new creation. I found some!! I then began the process of designing just the right size bag to fit the clamp. After I added the handles. Back in the day people only carried around papers and if you dropped your bag it was "no biggie", but when you are carrying around a Macbook Pro or an iPad Pro the handles are really important and give the carrier some real security.

How is that braid possible?
Then I discovered that I can make a mystery braid and the look is so pleasing.  People will look at your case and say how is that braid possible? It is closed on both ends; hence its name - the "Mystery Braid".  They are also really pleasing to hold in your hand as well; they mold to the shape of your hand.

While the original clamp document bag had no pockets inside or outside, I believe the on the go person needs a place to store their iPhone either outside for quick retrieval or inside for extra security. The pockets are just the right width to hold your Passport and right length to store your Apple Pencil or other writing instruments. I have also included a ring that can hold included Moose Leather & Solid Brass custom key-fob and is strong enough to hold other miscellaneous items as well.  Maybe you have a usb on a ring or a work badge or a fancy old pocket watch. You could even loop your Apple Watch through it when you need to be "watch free".

I have strengthened up the stress points on this bag giving it durability for years to come.  Two at the top corners and Eight attaching the handles. This gives the bag it an heirloom quality; you can pass it on to your kids! If you are not familiar with pounded copper rivets, they are a really old school re-enforcement that us next to impossible to remove.  I have even tried to drill some out before when I have made a mistake and I could not do it.  I use Moose leather washers to give it even more durability.

The measurements, in inches, are approximately: 17 x 11 (not including the handles) x 1 (note that moose leather is flexible so it can carry things wider that the briefcase like a water bottle or thick book; like a Bible.

This bag fits my iPad Pro 12.9 very nicely. Measurements of the 12.9 are in inches: 12.04 x 8.69 x .27 for your reference. No need to carry large rolling bags anymore.  Now with our tech (tablets and small laptops) getting smaller, we can carry vintage style bags instead of the "run-of-the-mill" bags being produced in the 21st century.

This bag fits the MacBook Pro with the measurements of Width: 11.97 inches, Depth: 8.36 inches, Height: 0.59 inch. It may fit a bit larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure for your specific laptop.

I have this bag listed as a man's bag.  But to a woman who is looking for that vintage rugged look, this would be perfect.

This beautiful bag comes from a smoke-free home in Minnetonka Minnesota.
