The Godfather is a 1972 American crime film directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The film starred a host of well-known actors, and the story followed a fictional New York crime family during the 1940's and 50's. Listed for auction is an original vintage lobby card from the movie The Godfather which is signed by James Caan and Talia Shire. James Cann as we all remembered played the part of Sonny Corleone and Talia Shire played the part of his sister Connie Corleone. The image shown is from early in the movie at Connie's wedding at the home of her father ''The Godfather'' who was played by Marlon Brando. The autographs are signed ''Talia Shire'' in blue felt pen and ''James Caan'' in black felt pen. The lobby card is numbered #7 and measures 14.00 x 11.00 inches. The lobby card has trivial corner/edge wear otherwise it is in fine condition. The autographs are authentic, hand signed examples and the lobby card will be accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity from RR Auctions. The autographs of many of the cast members from the film are actually difficult to obtain. The market is flooded with non-authentic or preprinted autographs being offered for sale as authentic. The autographs offered are authentic and nicely signed on a original authentic 1972 lobby card, which in itself is a rare collectable to obtain from the movie. The lobby card could also be ideal as the center of a Godfather display which you could add the autographs of other cast members from the movie.
