DESCRIPTION

The first edition, second impression of this work; the character is referred to as Mr. Quin Savory on pages 77, 78, 82, 98, and 131, rather than 'W. C. Savory' as he was referred in the first impression.

'Stamboul Train' was the second significant novel published by Greene, taking place on a train journey from Ostend to Istanbul. A notable novel, it's described as melodramatic and thrilling, written to please the public after a couple of unsuccessful novels.

Greene was one of the most popular authors of the twentieth century, known for his works 'Brighton Rock', 'The End of the Affair' and 'Our Man in Havana'.
