DESCRIPTION

A scarce disbound pamphlet, in need of a sympathetic rebound. 

S. W. Stavely proposes a recipe book comprised of various confectionary recipes for every need, including numerous tea cakes, biscuits, jelly, and more. With hints on how to fine ales, how to cure ropy beer or ale, how to restore stale or hard beer or ale, to bottle porter, ale, cider, and more. 

The 1824 edition. 


CONDITION

Disbound. Externally sound with some shelf wear and chipping throughout. The title page is slightly browned, with spots and inscriptions by a previous owner. Internally, firmly bound together. With the odd inscription to the leaves throughout, perhaps a previous owner practicing fine hand-writing. With the occasional faint minor spotting and a touch of age toning, as usual.
