This type, struck for Nicaragua by the Heaton mint in Birmingham, England, represented
 the new cordoba series. The 1 córdoba was only minted in 1912. Only 35,000 of these Un 
Cordobas were produced, so these are extremely scarce in any condition! Obverse: Facing bust 
surrounded by legend "Republica de Nicaragua" and date. Reverse: Five volcanoes in row 
with shining sun behind and legends surrounding "En Dios Confiamos - Un Cordoba".
