I inherited some jewelry and I've been trying to figure out what is real and what is costume.
For the necklace, I couldn't find who made it or indications of whether silver was used or if the stone I'm seeing is an authentic Amethyst. I supplied many pictures so someone with more knowledge might get a better idea. I want to be fair in my description. The necklace is approximately 22" long but has a chain adjustment to make it shorter.
The diamonds really sparkle. I know they really have come along way with zirconia diamonds so maybe that's what these are, as that many diamonds that size would have cost a fortune. So I'm making an assumption they aren't real. If they are great!
The stones in the earrings not sure what they are. When the light hits them just right I see a faint purple, other times it's more black.
The earrings did not come with the necklace. I paired them up when looking through all the items in the collection to try an make useful sets for people to use and wear. They look like a darker shade of an amethyst but just not sure.
Okay, looking under a magnified glass I see the number 925 written on the back of the earrings. I guess these are real sterling silver, and if so I'm sure the stone is authentic also, but not sure what kind of stone it is. So the earrings might be worth something.
