ANTIQUE MINERS TRUST COMPANY NO. 657 NANTICOKE, PENNSYLVANIA BRASS SMALL OVAL SAVINGS COIN BANK
This is an antique brass with steel bottom constructed oval shaped savings bank with a newest patent date of 1913 on the bottom. This bank advertises on a tag on the top for "Miners Trust Company No. 657 Nanticoke, PA.". Bank has slots on the front and sides for quarters, dimes, nickels and half dollar coins. There is also a place to put currency in the bottom. The bottom of the Bank is marked, "The Wealthometer" and shows the various patent dates and shows it was manufactured by The Automatic Recording Safe Co. out of Chicago. We don't have the key for opening it though. The banks used to hold these. Bank is in good condition overall for its age with some natural wear present. Please see pictures for design and condition detail. Measures about 2 and 1/4" tall by 3 and 3/4" wide by 1 and 3/4" thick. Wonderful old small brass savings bank from Pennsylvania would be a great find for your collection. Don't miss it.
