Vintage Antique Black Velour Womens Derby Style Hat with Gold Striped Band and Original Feather.  From Philipsborn Mailorder Company.  Stored in the original shipping box.  Box is included.  Has a chin strap. Not sure if this is some type of an equestrian hat. The inside circumference is about 22.75" (roughly).  I believe this hat is no later than the 1920's.  Possibly earlier.  Research indicates Philipsborn filed for bankruptcy in 1925. In amazing condition for its age.  See images to assess.  The workmanship is incredible.  Very different from later mass produced hats.
