Grub Screw (also known as a set screw) is often used in camera lenses, especially for holding the focus ring and zoom ring in place. Because of the small size, it is often damaged/lost in the repair process. As a non-generic part, thus making it very hard to find. Polar Bear Camera has re-engineered the parts and has them tailored at the machining centre.

Please measure the grub screw with a calliper (at least 0.02 mm precision) before placing your order. Alternatively, we provide complimentary metric screw specimens for go-or-no-go fitting tests.

Camera manufacturers frequently use thread-locking glue on small screws. To extract the screw, it is recommended that you use the correct solvent and instruments, as well as heat if necessary. Never use brute force to loosen a screw; you risk breaking the screw head.
