DESCRIPTION: 

☼ Stunning work - unique process of three dimensional etching. 
☼ Ultra strong and heavy glass polished to high gloss super-flat facets with crisp edges.
☼ Designed to be viewed from front or back with equal excellent results. View from sides is a bit confusing.
☼ Etching from top to bottom within the glass:
○ Clouds
○ Rain from those clouds
○ Soaring birds (seagulls?)
○ Gaff-rigged tall mast schooner
○ Large whale - spouting
○ Some random fish
○ A Scuba or Skin Diver
○ Ocean floor with coral
☼ Sometimes called a 'Bubblegram', the process involves two lasers highly focused to intersect at specific points causing heating which causes a 'micro-fracture' 'Bubble' which creates a bit of refraction at that point. Thousands of specific points guided by computer control produces the image.
☼ Research indicates this may be from European (Russian) production rather than the later production of these objects done in China. This is entirely uncertain.
☼ Measures 6" tall ... 2" square in section with tapering from the middle up and down to the ends.   

☼ Total weight exactly 2.0 pounds. (box not weighed) Shipping weight will be around 3.75 pounds to insure safety in transit.


CONDITION: 9.25 out of 10 = EXCELLENT - Gift Condition

Unique and excellent in every regard with one minor factory flaw - does not show well in the photos - in the upper section, above the clouds, there is a small 'rift' in the surface of the glass (on rear side when ship is facing to the right). This appears like a fine hair on the surface, but it's actually an irregular groove caused by glass not fully flowing into the mold. Minor but visible if looked for.

Base is very flat - and polished, like every other surface. It stands perfectly solid on a shelf.
