Utica Club Limited Edition Schultz and Dooley Mug (41st Anniversary)
First introduced in the 1950s as the “spokesmugs” of Utica Club lager, Schultz and Dooley captured the hearts of beer drinkers across the America. As part of their marketing push, West End Brewing Co. (later F.X. Matt Brewing) released Schultz and Dooley in stein form to the public starting in 1959. As time went on, Schultz and Dooley were joined by a number of stein buddies and they still remain a fixture in American breweriana.
While not as iconic as the steins, FX Matt has also released a number of limited edition .5 liter stoneware mugs that celebrate the history of their “spokesmugs.”
