Vintage Handmade Sterling Silver Vermeil Natural Amethyst Crystal & Rhodolite Garnet Brooch Pin. The brooch measures approximately 3 x 1 3/4 inches and weighs approximately 22.07 grams. The amethyst measure approximately 1 1/2 x 1 inch and the natural bezel set garnet measures approximately 6 x 4 mm. The brooch is made in soldered raised layers of formed sheet with the top layer and scattered smaller pieces being gold plated, all having an acid textured finish. A wonderful art brooch to adorn any lapel. I always wore this piece with the amethyst facing up as it reminded me of a wonderful amethyst mountain range, but it looks good at any angle.

My husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to his new bride upon his return from Europe after WWII.
