When an item cannot be completely tested, such as a remote control or a modem tied to a specific vendor that we do not have access to, we still test for “Out-of-the-box” functionality such as making sure they power on, buttons respond, testable functions work, noises are made, etc!
For all other items, we use our best judgment and research as to their quality, functions, authenticity, and condition using the same resources available to any consumer.
