I tried to keep up with my stamp collecting while I was in the Navy. So I joined the Westport Postal Commemorative Society and they did all the work for my plate block, First day Covers, and special Album's like this one. In this particular album in 1978 Fleetwood collaborated with the National Norman Rockwell Museum to produce a Limited Collector's Edition of 200 albums that contained a collection of Eight (8) US Philatelic Significant Commemorative Covers bearing 8 classic Rockwell paintings and historic U.S. Stamps in harmony with each painting postmarked on the 84th Anniversary of Rockwell's birth, February 3, 1978 and in his hometown of birth Stockbridge, MA. Each of the cachets in this collection faithfully captures a famous Saturday Evening Post cover that was originally painted by Norman Rockwell exclusively for the Saturday Evening Post.
After 40 years I finally just mounted these covers in the album, so the album, corners, covers, stamps and cancellation are flawless and in pristine condition.
Album #9.
