I have made this clock from part of the lid of a refurbished whisky oak cask. As such, condition is "Seller refurbished", but each item is individually made by me and, as such, is unique.
I make several types of clock, these being made from whole cask lids, approx half cask lids, approx half larger whisky staves and whole thinner staves. Soon to come are clocks that are freestanding and smaller, circular cut, cask wall clocks.
As such, it would be a considerable task to illustrate the numerous combinations of clock hands and numbers. For that reason, I attach comprehensive lists of the items available. I am able to advise on the suitability of any proposed combinations, prior to purchase.
The clock consists of three main parts, the first being approx half of a larger whisky, oak cask stave. It has been refurbished, gently sanded and varnished, in order to maintain its natural beauty. I has two pieces of refurbished, metal, cask securing ring added to the top and bottom to add effect and also conceal the top wall securing point. It weighs approx 2 kg and measures approx 65 cm high, 13 cm wide and 3 cm thick.
The second part, is the clock, which is a NEW quartz movement. It is a ticking movement, rather than a sweeping movement. It is not cheap and comes from a UK supplier and has a 03 month warranty. For the purpose of this advert, I have used my Type one hands, ie clock hands are gold coloured aluminium metal. The total hand sizes are 12.5 cm (second hand), 9.5 cm (minute hand) and 6.5 cm (hour hand). It requires one AA battery (not supplied).
The third part is the hour markings, or numbers. For this clock, I have used some of my new, Type four numerals, ie 7 cm high Roman numbers 6 and 2, only, made from 3mm MDF.
As a natural product, with a working history, associated marks, colourings and size variations will be present.
In relation to items I make on a regular basis, the measurements and photos, may be of other stock items, although, they will be very similar.
