And extremely colorful and awesome example of Czechoslovakian art glass! This vase exhibits different colored wavy lines with splashes of blue on a pink colored opaque base glass. Not all pieces such as this example were signed with the country of origin, most likely had paper labels. I believe the Czechoslovakian studios produced this glass up to World War II and then years after the end of the war reopened to continue production. My best guess is that this piece was produced prior to World War II. It’s design exhibits an art deco flair which was a popular style in the 20s and early 30s. The vase stands 6 1/2” tall with an opening 3 1/4” across. As previously stated, there are no markings on the bottom as to which studio created this vase. Thorough examination reveals no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. I will mention that on the outside there are assorted open bubbles that occurred during the production, a common occurrence for this type of blown glass. The outside of the rim at the opening feels somewhat sharp due to the grinding process at production. I see no staining or residue on the inside from use. A wonderful and colorful addition to your collection! Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
I was informed that this ball vase was produced by Kralik glass works about 1935.
