A Diamond Select Release! The first in an all-new series! For the first time ever, the X-Men are being reproduced as they were originally conceived by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in X-Men #1. These are not the tight Spandex outfits of Jim Lee or the leather outfits now worn in the New X-Men! These are the loose fitting yellow and blues from the original freshman class of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. DST went out and hired master sculptor Rudy Garcia to replicate all the detail and folds in the uniforms just as Kirby drew them those many years ago. And as if that wasn't enough, for the first time ever, this series of sculptures actually links together to form one team diorama inspired by the cover image of X-Men #1! Each piece will also ship with a letter that, when all are displayed together, will spell out "X-Men." If for some reason you do not want to collect this entire series you can display the pieces individually without the letters. Measuring 10" in height from the bottom of the base, and limited to 4,000 pieces worldwide, each statue includes a full-color, hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
This beautiful statue came to us in a collection, and is in NM condition.
