A very special book about the Saab 9X concept car that was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001.
The book is bound in 2-3 mm thick tyre rubber, complete with tread pattern on the inner covers.
A guaranteed collector's item that also ads a nice smell to the bookcase.
The 9X logo is in raised profile on the front cover as is the SAAB logo on the rear.
The cover clips together with press studs.
The contents are spiral bound with approx 40 pages, including gatefold pages, pages of various materials and blueprint style pages.
Quality print on heavy paper the book highlights the thinking behind the 9X together with SAAB style art imagery.
The book measures 280mm wide x 260 mm tall x 20mm thick.
We have never seen this publication previously and have been really pleased to add a copy to our own collections!
The 9X
The 9X concept car was designed & built to combine the features of a coupe, roadster, station wagon & pick-up all in one vehicle.
The 9X debuted at the Frankfurt Moor Show in September 2001.
Power came from a 3 litre, 300 bhp, V6 petrol engine driving the 19 inch wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission and 4 wheel drive.
The early roots of the subsequent 9-3 & 9-5 look are clear to see in the 9X.
