CHLAMYDIA  (Chlamydia trachomatis)

Without question, CHLAMYDIA is the most popular STD...at least in the plush version, in our Museum Shop and at science conferences.  This is most likely because, when it comes to such things, we turn to our semi-resident Biology Guru and close friend, Carol.  Remember Carol?  From the KNEE REPLACEMENT listing?  She learned quickly that when working with us at conferences, ANYTHING GOES!  One year, she decided that she was going to greet virtually EVERY potential victim (customer) who approached with the greeting, "Hi!  Can I send you home with CHLAMYDIA?"  And, she DID!  EVERYONE, from a nun to Bill Nye** was thus greeted this way!  Unfortunately for her, the next year, she was forced to come up with a new line, after she tried to recycle that golden oldie once again.  As our very first customer walked up, he called out to her, "I got CHLAMYDIA from you last year!  My wife told me not to come home this year, not until I get HERPES from you!"  Yes, some were staring, shocked and horrified, but for everyone else within earshot, especially those that already knew us or knew about us, ALL understood that this was a perfectly normal conversation while visiting our booth.  I swear she was like this when we met her!!!  Why do you think she likes to work with us...if you call that working???

A NOTE ABOUT GIANT MICROBES:  We carry almost the complete line of Giant Microbes products (including many retired designs) and have since the company first began.  It is going to take a while for us to get them all up and listed on here but we ARE working on it.  In the meantime...if you need any that we haven't listed on here yet, feel free to write and ask about our prices and availability.  Yes, we usually have plenty!

IMPORTANT: When these are sent to us from Giant Microbes, depending on the quantity of our order, sometimes they are individually bagged and sometimes they are bulk bagged but NOT individually.  When we mail yours out, each WILL be safely wrapped inside either a factory-sealed bag or a new plastic shopping bag to help protect it from the elements as it travels to you.  As these are filled with polyester fibers, it can and will probably be packed tightly for shipping so if it appears a little "squished" when it arrives, it may just need to be shaken and "fluffed" upon removal from its mailing box.  PLEASE, for the safety of your new friend, do NOT cut or puncture the box with any sharp objects!
