7) How To Wire Single Terminal Fan Thermostat Switches:
These switches should be used in conjunction with a relay.
The switch should operate the relay and the relay should provide power to the fan since an electric fan typically draws a lot of currents.
When the switch closes to ground (at high temps) the relay is energized and powers the fan. When temps drop, the switch opens and breaks the ground circuit.
The relay de-energizes and cuts power to the fan
