M52 oil pumps have slightly wider rotors and better oil flow capacity compared to older M50/S50 oil pumps.
M52 oil pumps they can be installed into M50/S50US engines after widening the hole in one of mounting arms (requires some basic drill work)
You are buying a new shaft and a modified sprocket installed in an used oil pump. The oil pump body are rotors are used, in good condition and come for free.
Oil pressure valve and spring are recommended to be replaced with new ones as they are cheap and easy to obtain from BMW dealerships.
The oil pump requires a professional installation.
