Laura Mills was a tennis pro in the 1920s in New York. Proceeding her tennis career she began to paint and eventually opened an art gallery. Many of her patrons were political figures and prominent business owners. This particular still life painting has wonderful luminescence, bold brush strokes and a pointillism influence.
