Mun Ebony (Botanical: Diospyros Mun)

Mun Ebony Characteristics

Very nice to work and polish, but also very hard.  Very similar to Macassar Ebony. Durable and rot resistant.  A very fine texture with small pores and grain is usually straight but can be interlocked.  A Heavy and Hard wood with a moderate workability.

Color Range

Light to reddish stripes with dark brown to black body..
