This listing is for one new John Deere 425-445-455 tractor reverse pedal speed & comfort extension kit with soft round rubber pad, which improves the original pedal.  This soft pad does not cause the bottom foot pressure and pain you get from the narrow style pedal plus it increases the reverse speed.  This kit also does not increase the width of the pedal keeping it a safe option.   I'm an experienced seller and do use this product on my John Deere 425's.

When mowing with the existing John Deere reverse pedal it is just to low and narrow which causes foot strain problems.  The existing John Deere pedal is also very slow in reverse.   

When solving the reverse pedal problems, I found the original John Deere reverse pedal a durable long-lasting pedal and turned my efforts into improving the existing pedal.   More speed was needed but ease of use and comfort were equally important to me.  Safety consideration was and is important, so the extension kit is designed to keep the top of the pedal from catching on the tractor frame cut out, so the tractor won't get stuck in high forward or reverse speed. This kit does not increase the width of the original pedal but as always, the original pedal should be centered in the reverse pedal cutout for safety sake.  This will allow the John Deere reverse pedal to move up to 3/8" lower which allows the forward and reverse speed to be about the same.  The kit allows good control, but "caution" is advised as the reverse speed is increased when using this pedal.  The riser bolt can be installed with 1/4" depression if a slower speed is desired.  The foot pedal kit III I developed is using a low-profile riser bolt with a soft round rubber pad which makes the reverse pedal taller than the original John Deere reverse pedal.  This still allows a quick switch of your foot from the forward pedal to the reverse pedal without lifting the heel of your foot.  This makes the function fast and easy with a more comfortable foot position and less pressure and pain to the bottom of your foot, which you get from the original narrow style.     

The Installation requires a drill and bits.  There is no reason to remove the existing reverse pedal.  You simply drill one small hole in the end of the existing John Deere plastic reverse foot pedal.  Complete installation instructions are included.  

I have had many questions about other tractors.  The most recent reverse pedal John Deere number is AM121947.  It replaces numbers AM106407, AM115748, AM108153, M118387, AM120752.  The AM121947 reverse pedal fits John Deere 415, 425, 445, 455, F510, F525, F710, F735, F825, G100, GT242, GT262, GT275, LX172, LX173, LX176, LX178, LX186, LX188.  I have not installed the extension foot pedal kit on all of these tractors, but I believe our kit is designed so it should work on all of them.
