DESCRIPTION
A biography of the life of the intrepid arctic explorer Jens Munk.
Munk was a early explorer, born in 1560. A lover of the sea and of sailing, Munk is perhaps best known for his attempt to find shorter passage to India throughout the Arctic waterways. Yet his life was plagued by his illegitimacy, which caused him humiliation throughout his life.
Here Thorkild Hansen tells the fascinating story of this fearless explorer and sailor, and the perils he faced throughout his life.
