This lamp is new never been used and in its travel case and original box. Packing contents: 1 Main lighting unit, 1 Removeable Diffusion Filter, 5 Ektron bulbs (3 clear & 2 red), 1 Adjustable clip with pre-affixed coarse 1-1/4 x 1-3/4 fastening strip, 4 loose 1-1/4 x1-3/4 fastening strips (3 soft & 1 coarse), 1 soft travel case and 1 Instruction Leaflet. Operating instructions: 1. Separate main lighting unit from adjustable clip. 2. remove battery compartment cover on bottom of main lighting unit by sliding it in direction of arrow. 3. Place 3 type AA lithium, alkaline or Nickel Cadmium rechargeable batteries into compartment, making sure that polarity, (+) and (-) poles, matches diagram on compartment floor in each row. Caution: Do not mix different types of batteries. 4. Replace battery compartment cover. 5. To turn light on, simply push in and release circular black push button switch located at left rear of main lighting unit battery compartment. repeat procedure to turn light off. 6. For the widest light coverage, hold sides of battery compartment with thumb and index finger of one hand. Grasp mini-PCL3's reflector head with thumb and index finger of other hand, and gently pull telescoping neck up and out, raising it from its storage position in main lighting unit until it is fully extended. Note: Neck can be raised up to an angle of 90 degrees, and reflector head can be rotated a full 180 degrees in either direction. However, turning reflector head more than 180 degrees in either direction may damage unit and void the 90 day parts guarantee. 7. Choose set up option best suited for your needs. Option 1- Main lighting unit and adjustable clip. A. From either side on handheld devices with hinged covers, and from rear on devices without hinged covers. a) Hold main lighting unit perpendicular to adjustable clip, and slide it into lip to form a T. b) Depending on whether your keyboard is arranged horizontally or vertically, find best place cover coarse fastening strip on Adjustable clip to position your Palmtop (HPC, PDA or Pen-based) computer or pocket organizer for optimum lighting and obstacle free operation. c) Turn over your computer or organizer, peel off protective paper backing from one of the soft fastening strips, and place strip on bottom of device in area where your unit will be properly positioned under light when it is affixed to coarse fastening strip on clip base. Or B. over the screen on handheld devices with hinged covers. a) With main lighting unit still in storage position in adjustable clip, hold sides of battery compartment with thumb and index finger of one hand. Grasp mini-PCL3's reflector head with thumb and index finger of other hand and gently pull telescoping neck up and out, raising it until it is fully extended. b) Turn over your computer or organizer, peel off protective paper backing from one of the soft fastening strips, and place strip horizontally on bottom center at rear of device directly below hinge. c) Open cover of computing/organizing device, and flip over entire assembly so keyboard is resting in palm of your hand with main lighting unit positioned. d) To turn light on or off push in and release circular black push-button switch through hole located at left rear of adjustable clip. e) Adjust mini-PCL3's reflector head for optimum lighting. Note: Spare soft fastening strip is for use on additional computer, organizer, clipboard, etc. Option 2- Main lighting unit only. Place main lighting unit on flat surface (desk, tabletop, etc.) adjacent to keyboard of your computing or organizing device. Specifications.
