No doubt the Three Wise Men inspired this charming vignette, based upon an original wood block which Sister Berta created in 1928 as her own Christmas card. Each of the three angels has his own offering for the Christ Child - music, light and gifts. Mrs Viktoria Hummel, the late artist's mother and legal heir has chosen and authorized this early work as the 1978 Christmas Plate, eighth in the series. Schmid Bros. Inc. 1977. Made in West Germany. This features three beautiful blond angels in robes. The first angel in the blue robe is playing a horn, the second angel in the white robe with yellow stars has a staff & candle, and the third angel in the red robe has toys & gifts.
