Kong, "Ebola Syndrome" is arguably the sickest HK film ever made. Anthony Wong
Chau Sang stars as Kai, a guy with a grudge against the whole world. Wanted for
murder, Kai flees to South Africa where he gets a job working in the kitchen of
a Chinese restaurant. One day while visiting a nearby village to buy cheap pork
he happens upon a dying African woman whom he proceeds to rape. Kai contracts
ebola from his victim, but lucky for him, (and unluckily for everyone else), he
is one of the very rare people who doesn't die of the disease, he is just a
carrier. This makes Kai a walking bio-terrorist, spreading ebola to nearly every
man, woman, and child he comes in contact with. Ebola Syndrome is as intelligent
and artistic as it is controversial and disturbing. If you have even the
slightest taste for over the top, graphically violent horror with a sense of
humour, this is a must see. "It is a film with enough nauseating violence and
sleazy depravity to make its script read like a sadist's shopping list."
