1. Carbide chain is fantastic for those jobs that your standard chain is struggling to deal with. It will cut through hard, dry and dirty wood and will only very rarely need to be sharpened.
2. It can even be used in white ant eaten and hollowed out wood, conditions that rapidly deteriorate standard chainsaw chain.
3. Carbide chain should be kept away from rocks and steel at all costs. It will break the tooth off the chain far easier than regular chain if it contacts rocks or anything metallic.
4. If you stick your nose into the dirt when cutting logs on the ground, then carbide chain is not suitable for your job.
5. Carbide chain should never be used to cut railway sleepers as they are littered with metal debris from the railway tracks.
6. Carbide chain should be sharpened with a diamond grinding stone, disc or file. Jono & Johno can supply all three.
7. All Hurricane carbide chain should be sharpened at 30 degrees.
