The original Dallaire Sportster was designed by Frank Dallaire back in 1935 for the Stix Baer National Contest in St Louis, Missouri. Frank flew the design to a 2nd place finish in open age gas in ROG category. The model had an enormous 9' wingspan...and was produced in kit form in 1936 by the Dallaire Model Aircraft Company

This version of this great old-timer is by Ron Nokes and was featured in Model Builder magazine back in the 80's. It has a more manageable 81-1/2" wingspan and requires a .29 -.35 motor.
