Up for sale now this unique RUSSIAN the DOORS greatest hits album. Vintage 1988 12" VINYL. The record is a compilation album containing some of the bands’ biggest hits from 1967 – 1971, like Light My Fire; Waiting For The Sun; Riders On The Storm and The End. This copy is in MINT shape.

The Russian label Мелодия is also known as Melody, Melodia, Melodiya or Melodija. It was founded in 1964. It was the only label within the USSR after 1964 (there were more labels before) but became state-owned when the USSR ended. Export releases (a.o. Creedence Clearwater Revival; Rolling Stones and the DOORS) are known to be shipped with full color sleeves and English translations. Most of the domestic copies had standard paper sleeves.

This copy does not have English translations aside of the name DOORS and the album title Light My Fire (in Russian: Дорз - Зажги во мне огонь) on the front sleeve and track titles on the back sleeve. So this presumably is a copy made for the Russian market as well as export markets.

Collectors' item from private collection, hard to find in this great shape. Comes with FREE clear plastic cover.
