All that remained of the Temple of Esna when Roberts visited was the pillared hall. He included some Christians who lived in the area in his painting. Subscription edition, 1840s, approximately 14" x 20" image size. This limited edition lithograph was hand colored and mounted on a 17" by 24", heavy stock paper. Very good condition.
