1980 AUSTRALIAN 10 CENT COIN | QEII | LYREBIRD | CIRCULATED DECIMAL CURRENCY


The Australian 10 cent coin, first introduced with decimal currency on February 14, 1966, features a lyrebird on the reverse, designed and sculpted by Stuart Devlin. The obverse depicts Queen Elizabeth II’s Second Portrait by Arnold Machin.


Composition: The coin is made of 75% copper and 25% nickel.

Specifications: The coin has a diameter of 23.60 mm, a mass of 5.65 grams, and a milled edge.
